Spider-Man Classic is the cancelled sequel to Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. It featured Spider-Man and Wolverine teaming up to fight new villains such as Carnage and Mysterio. The game was set to have Spidey fans traveling through some of Spider-Man's most exciting, classic villian fights from the comics, the artist notes that it would have been "told in panel-by-panel faithfulness to the original comic". It was cancelled because Shaba Games, the studio behind Web of Shadows, closed their doors back in 2009 which lead to all their current video game projects to be terminated, including Spider-Man Classic. It was replaced with 2010's Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, which fans considered a indirect sequel to Web of Shadows.
